La Clarté Haut Brion
Pessac Leognan - Second Wines
Description
You probably knew this wine under the name of Plantiers du Haut-Brion, which has been modified with the 2009 vintage. Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc (majority) compose it. After being harvested by hand, the grapes were fermented in oak barrels and the wine was aged in the same type of containers for almost a year, with the proportion of new wood approaching 50%.
Suave, almost unctuous, the wine seduces by its aromatic complexity and its beautiful energy.
James Suckling : “A tight and focused second wine of La Mission and Haut Brion with a classy texture and beautiful length and focus. Medium body, fresh acidity and a crunchy finish. 56.3% sauvignon blanc and 43.7% semillon.”
