This property dating back to the 16th century is undoubtedly one of the greatest icons of the region and crafts wine that takes full advantage of its superb terroir. Growing on a gravelly hill, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon descend their roots into clay and limestones soils.

The wines is aged in carefully selected barrels, giving them a great elegance which translates to the fine, but present tannins (giving them excellent ageing potential), complex aromas which will evolve into sophisicated notes of fine wood and truffle with time. “James Suckling” : The aromas in this young Margaux are so primary, reminding me of grape must fermenting in the vat, then turning to perfumes and flowers. Violets and roses.
