Château Haut-Bailly
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé

Description
This Pessac-Léognan grand cru classé comes from a 30-hectare vineyard lying on a hillock, with vines plunging into a unique terroir of sand and pebbly gravel with clay. A variety of grape varieties are grown, including Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate has four hectares of 100-year-old vines – a rarity that sets it apart. The wine is fermented in tronconic concrete or stainless steel vats before maturing in oak barrels for just over a year, with 50% to 60% new barrels.
The 2024 Blend: 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: “The captivating nose delivers a complex mix of very pure black fruits. The palate, concentrated and beautifully delicate, leads to a mouthwatering finish that’s intense and has pleasant toasted notes. Blood orange and sweet pepper aromas give the wine a vibrant energy. All in all, the wine will charm anyone who tastes it. ”
