Château Doisy-Daëne
Sauternes - 2ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
A 1855 deuxième grand cru classé, Château Doisy Daëne owns a vineyard that covers 16 hectares situated on the limestone-clay Barsac plateau (and is the neighbour to the prestigous Château Climens). It has been owned by the Dubourdieu family since 1924.
Having long been run by the hands of Denis Dubourdieu, a great Bordeaux oenologist who sadly passed away in 2016, it is now managed by his sons, Fabrice and Jean-Jacques.
This wine stands out with its finesse and depth, as well as its precision and its beautiful balance thanks to its freshness.
James Suckling : “There’s a refined focus and beauty to this, with spice and honey character. Medium-bodied, sweet and poised. Flavorful at the end, in an elegant way, with density and tension”.
