Château Cantemerle
Haut Medoc - 5ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
This 1855 cru classé extends over plots of fine gravel facing the Gironde River, where the first traces of viticulture date back to 1350.
During the harvest, the grapes are picked by hand, then carefully sorted to keep only the most beautiful berries. Vinification takes place in wooden, stainless steel and cement vats and the wines is matured for 12 months in partially new oak barrels (40%).
The iDealwine Primeurs tasting: “On the nose, this wine reveals beautiful aromas of red fruits and violets. On the palate, it is fluid and well-balanced, with tannins that still deserve to soften a little with time.
