Château Malartic Lagravière
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé
Description
Grand Cru Classé of Pessac-Léognan, Château Malartic-Lagravière offers us a red wine that blends Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot in almost equal parts, completed with a little Cabernet-Franc. All of them are carefully cultivated according to HVE 3 certified principles.
Ces variétés bénéficient de l’influence du sol de graves günziennes du quartenaire sèches et argileuses qui repose sur un sous-sol de calcaire et de veines d’argile. The yields reach 26 hectoliters and come from severely sorted manual harvests. The vinification is done in small truncated wooden vats and in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats.
The wine is aged on its fine lees in French oak barrels (65% new wood) for 18 months.
James Suckling : “Very pretty and polished with blackberry, blueberry and ink character, as well as a hint of hazelnut. It’s medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins to the fruit. Fine and flavorful finish.”
