Château Langoa Barton
Saint Julien - 3ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
A Saint-Julien troisième grand cru classé, Château Langoa-Barton owns vines located between Beychevelle and Saint-Julien which draw all the nutrients they need from the gravel soils which sit on a clay bedrock full of pebbles.
Hand-harvested, each plot of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are vinified seperately. The wine is aged for 18 months in barrels whose proportion of new wood can be anywhere from 50% to 70%. Tasting it reveals an aromatic, structured wine which would benefit from being left in the cellar to age for several years.
The 2024 Blend: 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note:“This wine opens onto pure, seductive red and black fruit notes. Delicate and refined, it displays the hallmark deliciousness and suppleness granted by its historically high proportion of Merlot. The finish reveals a well-defined tannic backbone, offering structure without a hint of austerity. ”
Le Figaro Vin : “A luminous, intense nose of ripe, sparkling red fruit, giving off an impression of serenity, followed by resplendent flowers. The palate is full, caressing, with a cashmere texture and vitality carried by ripe fruit. The wine floats on the palate, with a quiet majesty, like the Dead Sea. Delicious, fine, saline finish. ”
