Château La Mission Haut Brion
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé

Description
A true icon of the Pessac-Léognan area, the property dates back to the 16th century. Classified as a Graves Grand Cru in 1953, it produces a fine wine perfect for ageing from twenty hectares of vines which draw all that they need to produce excellent grapes from gravel, sand and clay soils.
Hand-harvested, the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes are vinified in the traditional way. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, and the wine is aged for 18 to 22 months in barrels containing 80% new wood.
Vintage 2024 blend: 56.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29.2% Merlot, 14.5% Cabernet Franc.
Wine Advocate: “Notes of dark berries, spices, mulberries and discreet hints of new oak preface the 2024 La Mission Haut-Brion, a medium to full-bodied, dense and attractively seamless wine for the vintage, with a textural mid-palate that’s underpinned by a firm chassis of tannins, concluding with a long, broad and rather ripe finish. “
