Château Duhart-Milon
Pauillac - 4ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
In Pauillac, Chateau Duhart-Milon gives pride of place to two typical grape varieties of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vines draw all their nutrients from the fine gravel soils coupled with sand that rest on limestone bedrock.
Harvested by hand and carefully vinified in the traditional manner, the beautiful grapes produce a wine which, after having been aged for more than a year in oak barrels (50% new wood), is dense, deep and framed by beautiful tannins which soften wonderfully over time.
Wine Advocate : “A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon (picked late, between September 25 and October 3) and 20% Merlot, the 2023 Duhart-Milon has turned out beautifully, unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis, cherries and dark berries mingled with hints of mint, cedar and spice box. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it’s deep and concentrated, with an ample core of cool but ripe fruit, sweet tannins and a long, penetrating finish.”
