Château Doisy-Daëne
Sauternes - 2ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
A 1855 deuixème grand cru classé, Château Doisy-Daëne covers 16 hectares of vines on the Barsac plateau with clay-chalk soil. It has been owned by the Dubourdieu family since 1924.
Having long been run by the hands of Denis Dubourdieu, a great Bordeaux oenologist who sadly passed away in 2016, it is now managed by his sons, Fabrice and Jean-Jacques. This wine stands out with its finesse and depth, as well as its precision and its beautiful balance thanks to its freshness.
The 2024 Blend: 75% Sémillon, 25% Sauvignon Blanc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: “A blend of 75% Semillon and 25% Sauvignon, this wine expresses notes of crisp white fruits and subtle hints of spices such as cinnamon. It possesses a wonderful complexity with notes of apricot, quince and honey. At 140 g/l residual sugar, it is beautifully balanced and very drinkable. “
