Château Cantemerle
Haut Medoc - 5ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
This 1855 cru classé extends over plots of fine gravel facing the Gironde River, where the first traces of viticulture date back to 1350.
During the harvest, the grapes are picked by hand, then carefully sorted to keep only the most beautiful berries. Vinification takes place in wooden, stainless steel and cement vats and the wines is matured for 12 months in partially new oak barrels (40%).
Vintage 2024 blend: 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.
Vinous: “ The 2024 Cantemerle is bold and expressive in the glass. Dried herbs, incense, tobacco, mocha, plum and leather build nicely in a mid-weight Haut-Médoc with plenty of layers and fine overall persistence. There’s a good bit of potential here.”
