Château D’Aiguilhe
Cotes de Castillon
Description
This estate in Castillon-Côte-de-Bordeaux covers 90 hectares of vines cultivated according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture but without certification. The soil is clayey-loamy and clayey-limestone which allows a good drainage for the vine. The vinification takes place in wooden and concrete vats and the maturation takes place in partially new French oak barrels.
Between greediness and freshness, this wine offers you a nice balance between the intensity of the fruit and its round and velvety finish.
Wine Advocate : “The 2023 d’Aiguilhe, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, reveals aromas of dark wild berries, cassis and mulberries intertwined with a gently oaky touch. More structuring than Clos Marsalette, the Pessac-Léognan owned by the Von Neipperg family, it’s medium-bodied, concentrated and rich with structuring tannins and an oaky, firm finish.”
