  • Description

A Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé, Clos Fourtet is known for being a true model of elegance at the heart of the appellation, even after the wine has been aged for many years. At about 30 years old, the vines which create it have drawn the nutrients they need to flourish from the limestone and clay soils. The Château cares for it vines using sustainable and traditional methods. The wine is aged for 15 to 18 months according to the vintage’s characteristics in oak barrels, three quarters of which are renewed every year.

James Suckling : “This is so full of energy. It’s full-bodied with electrified tannins and a long, long finish. So polish and focus here with exquisite balance and length.”
