Domaine de Chevalier White
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé

Description
In Pessac-Léognan, the Domaine de Chevalier produces a beautiful white wine composed of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon which draw the nutrients necessary for their development from gravel and clay soils, while benefiting from the influence of the surrounding forest. Harvested by hand, they are vinified in oak barrels containing a small proportion of new wood (30%, approximately) and are aged in barrels also used for one year or more. Thus, the wine is both lively and rich, made to keep well and to accompany dishes of character.
Blend for the 2024 vintage: 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Semillon.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: “An elegant wine with a gentle nose of lychee, citrus (grapefruit) and apricot. The palate has a saline and vibrant structure. It’s lively and fleshy, culminating in a satisfying salinity on the finish. An iDealwine favourite. ”
Le Figaro Vin : “ The aromas of lime, freshly cut grass and unripe pineapple are immediately obvious, followed by hints of pine needles for a nose of unprecedented delicacy. Fresh and bright, the palate offers a perfect balance between citrus notes and a saline framework for a pure, luminous wine, with silky, dynamic substance and a fine buttery edge. “
