Domaine de Chevalier Blanc
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé
Description
In Pessac-Léognan, the Domaine de Chevalier produces a beautiful white wine composed of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon which draw the nutrients necessary for their development from gravel and clay soils, while benefiting from the influence of the surrounding forest. Harvested by hand, they are vinified in oak barrels containing a small proportion of new wood (30%, approximately) and are aged in barrels also used for one year or more. Thus, the wine is both lively and rich, made to keep well and to accompany dishes of character.
The iDealwine Primeurs tasting: “This wine brings floral aromas and a balanced mouth between roundness and freshness, a matter carried by pastry and buttery aromas, in a Burgundian style, offering a fine bitterness and ending with a nice warm length.”
