  • Description

A Sauternes Grand Cru Classified 1855, Clos Haut-Peyraguey is owned by Bernard Magrez, the celebrated proprietor of other great Bordeaux châteaux such as Pape-Clément, La Tour Carnet and Fombrauge. This estate is located in the upper part of Haut-Bomme, very well exposed and particularly rich in clay. Renowned oenologist Michel Rolland advises the estate. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted several times, and vinification and ageing are carried out in barrels (new or one-year old). This Sauternes achieves a fine balance between richness and elegance, thanks in particular to a certain freshness, and has excellent ageing potential.

Vintage 2024 blend: 80% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc.

iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: The wine expresses itself with aromas of apple, pear, quince and honey. On the palate, the wine has great suppleness and finesse. Perfect balance. A real favorite.

Le Figaro Vin : “The summer freshness of the Ciron is reflected in a crystalline bouquet with aromas of fresh herbs (lemon thyme, rosemary), ripe stone fruit, tangerine and fresh pineapple. Wrapped in a well-balanced liqueur, the palate is all sweetness, with ripe mirabelle plum, apricot and lychee. The fresh, slightly shy finish completes the aromatic landscape.
