Château Valandraud
Saint Emilion - 1er Grand Cru Classé B

Description
An iconic Saint-Emilion property that has enjoyed spectacular success in just a few years, Château Valandraud today boasts some ten hectares of vines between 30 and 50 years old planted in clay, limestone, silica and gravel soils. Plot-by-plot vinification is carried out in small wooden, concrete or stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels, and the wine is aged for 18 to 30 months in new barrels. Smooth, supple, persistent and characterful, this wine will benefit from many years in the cellar.
The 2024 Blend: 85% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: “Subtle and refined bouquet, elegantly weaving red and black fruits with a delicate floral touch. On the palate, it’s smooth and silky, with impressive concentration carried by an irresistibly charming Merlot. The tannins are supple and subtle, seamlessly integrated despite ageing entirely in new oak. A wine of remarkable balance graceful and full of finesse. An iDealwine favourite! ”
