Château Suduiraut
Sauternes - 1er Grand Cru Classé
Description
A Sauternes Premier Grand Cru Classé, the great wine of Château Suduiraut features a blend composed primarily of Sémillon, completed by Sauvignon Blanc. Harvested by hand (yields not surpassing 10 hl/ha), berry after berry is effected by noble rot, the grapes are vinified in barrels and aged in new oak for half and barrels of one wine for the other half. This takes place between 16 and 20 months. Regularly garnering high scores from professional tasters, the wine seduces its enthusiasts with generous fruit and noble acidity, guaranteeing it good aging potential. To be aged many years in the cellar, or even decades.
James Suckling : “The purity of the botrytis grabs your attention, with density and intensity to the dried fruit, sweetness and length. Very spicy and long. Almost oily. Really rich. 150g/L residual sugar. 100% semillon.”
