Château Smith Haut Lafitte White
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé
Description
Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Sémillon make up this fine white wine which is made for ageing. It puts on a show of flavours with yellow fruits, white flowers and citrus fruits introducing a palate that is both dense and taut, velvety and mineral. How is it made? Once harvested by hand, the grapes are fermented in French oak barrels and aged on their lees again in barrels (50% new wood), interupted by lee stiring.
Figaro Vin tasting: “A rich, hedonistic, luminous bouquet of blood orange and quinine bitters. Divinely supple on the palate, a creamy yet airy wine with notes of tart green and yellow fruit. A savory, vanilla finish of fresh pineapple and clementine.”
