Château Pontet-Canet
Pauillac - 5ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
A Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé with biodynamic certification, Pontet-Canet honors the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc grapes that flourish on gravel, clay and limestone soils. In the cellar, the work is just as respectful and there is little intervention in the wine-making process. Plot-by-plot vinification is completed in barrels (with a little new wood) and clay amphoras for 18 to 20 months. Distinguished, intense, persistent and lively, this wine will easily improve for many years in the cellar.
Vintage 2024 blend: 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: A fruity nose with aromas of black fruits such as cherry and blackberry.
On the palate, the attack is elegant, with silky tannins and fine balance. Pontet-Canet boasts great complexity, with a long, savory finish offering roasted, chocolatey flavors. Accessible in its youth, this wine also has great ageing potential. ”
Wine Advocate tasting note: A majestic nose of absolute serenity. The wine unfurls an ocean of sensual blue fruits, carried by mineral accents and a fine touch of cassia bark. On the palate, it’s like floating on a sea of warm, salty water, eyes closed under a caressing sun. A sumptuous wine of ravishing fullness. “
