  • Description

Grand cru classé de Pessac-Léognan, Château Malartic-Lagravière offers us a red wine that blends Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in almost equal proportions, complemented by a little Cabernet Franc. All of them are carefully cultivated according to HVE 3 certified principles.

Ces variétés bénéficient de l’influence du sol de graves günziennes du quartenaire sèches et argileuses qui repose sur un sous-sol de calcaire et de veines d’argile. The yields reach 26 hectoliters and come from severely sorted manual harvests. The vinification is done in small truncated wooden vats and in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. The wine is aged on its fine lees in French oak barrels (65% new wood) for 18 months.

Vintage 2024 blend: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc.

iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note:A nose of praline, hazelnuts, walnuts, cocoa, coffee and violets. The palate is quite masculine, structured, then gradually gives way to greedy fruit and silky substance. It’s a well-balanced wine, with lovely power and a long finish.

Le Figaro Vin : “Smoky white pepper blends with ripe red fruit in a gourmand, refined nose that’s quite warm. The wine is fine, elegant and chiselled on the palate, with delicate fruit and shyly gourmand notes on the finish.
