Château Lafite Rothschild
Pauillac - 1er Grand Cru Classé

Description
Under the leadership of Saskia de Rothschild, this premier grand cru classé from the 1855 classification owns a vineyard that covers 100 hectares and faces south-east, sitting on gravel and sand soils with a limestone bedrock. Harvested by hand, the grapes are vinified plot-by-plot in large oak, stainless-steel and cement (for the Merlot) vats. The wine is aged in barrels produced by the château for between 18 and 20 months. Tasting it reveals a wine of great elegance, full of black fruits, soft spices, flowers and fine wood notes. To be left in your cellar for a long time.
The 2024 Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: “When tasting this Pauillac legend, we found a charming wine in our glass which reveals notes of dark fruits such as plum, cherry and blackberry. These are joined by the floral aromas of violet, jasmin and elderflower. This great aromatic complexity just makes you want to try a sip. On the palate, the 2024 Lafite Rothschild is supple, delicate and elegant. The middle of the palate is slightly acidic with silky tannins and concludes in a long fruity finish. ”
