Château Desmirail
Margaux - 3ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
A 1855 troisième grand cru classé, Chateau Desmirails crafts a wine from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot that grow on a gravel and pebble terroir within the Margaux appellation. Cultivated according to sustainable methods, the grapes are harvested by hand and each plot is vinified separately in oak barrels. The wine is aged for one year in oak barrels where the proportion of new wood is 30%. Made for ageing, the wine charms you with its great elegance and supple texture.
Wine Advocate : “More oaky and reserved than its 2022 counterpart, the 2023 Desmirail offers up aromas of dark wild berries, spices, licorice and coniferous forest. Medium to full-bodied, round and sappy, it has velvety tannins with a tense, ethereal and delicate finish.”
