Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste – Caisse Variation
Pauillac - 5ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
Château Grand Puy Lacoste’s grand vin comes from a 60-hectare vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc vines that are just under 40 years old. These varieties thrive on the deep gravel soils and are tended to with care using sustainable methods. Hand-harvested, the grapes are then sorting before spending a long time in vats. The wine is matured in French oak barrels (about 70% new wood) for a year and a half to create this brilliant wine perfect for ageing. Intense and deep, it possesses a beautiful mineral freshness on the finish.
The “Caisse Variation” 2022 proposes an equivalent volume to 12 bottles or 9 litres in the form of a wooden CASE containing : one Double Magnum, two Magnums and four Bottles.
