Château De Ferrand
Saint Emilion - Grand Cru Classé

Description
This emblematic Saint-Émilion château sits on a unique terroir. The plots are beautifully exposed, facing south and southwest’they are also some of the highest in the appellation. Tended to using sustainable agriculture, the vineyard’s soil is composed of clay and limestone. In the cellar, vinification is carried out plot by plot and takes place in concrete tanks, before the resulting wine is matured for 14 to 18 months. On the palate, this treasure reveals a flawless suppleness, intensified by velvety and delicate tannins.
The 2024 Blend: 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note:“Everything about this wine is gentle – the nose full of small red fruits, the flowing, flavourful palate and the elegant, saline finish. This is a great success for the château’s first organically certified vintage from a year that demanded a lot of work (30 hl/ha with gentle extractions). Even though the wine is already enjoyable in its youth, the acidic undercurrent foretells good ageing potential. It’s a wine that can be compared to vintages such as 2002 and 2004. An iDealwine favourite. “
