Château Olivier
Pessac Leognan - Graves Cru Classé
Description
Château Olivier is a vast property in Pessac-Léognan, classified in 1953. Its 60 hectares of vines rest on a gravelly hilltop which allows the production of a great red wine in which the Petit Verdot plays the role of judge, between Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. The result is a harmonious, smooth and elegant wine that will keep well.
iDealwine Primeur tasting note : “The nose is highly expressive, combining black fruit aromas with notes of wood and mushrooms. The palate is fluid, light and taut.”
James Suckling : “This is tight and dense with dark-berry, forest-flower and fresh-mushroom aromas, as well as chewy tannins. Slightly traditional in character, but it’s a solid young Pessac-Leognan.”
