  • Description

In Pauillac, Château Pédesclaux is fortunate to have a mosaic of terroirs (clay, limestone, gravel) which allows the wine to express a beautiful variety of olfactory and gustatory sensations. The red grape varieties, which are about 30 years old, are cultivated according to reasoned methods and are harvested by hand, severely sorted and de-stemmed before vinification, which takes place in stainless steel vats adapted to each plot.

The wine is aged between 12 and 16 months in oak barrels with a proportion of new wood of about 60%.

Wine Advocate : “The 2023 Pedésclaux is the estate’s second organic-certified vintage. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, it offers up attractive aromas of cassis and dark berries mingled with notions of mint and licorice, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered palate with sweet tannins, succulent acids and a rather rich, giving profile.”
