Château Guiraud
Sauternes - 1er Grand Cru Classé
Description
Château Guiraud’s wine starts its life on a terroir composed of sand and gravel as well as deep limestone, clay and gravel earth. Once affected by noble rot, the grapes are harvested one by one before they are vinified and aged in mainly new oak barrels. This wine is absolutely perfect for sipping while enjoying a moment to yourself. It has a complex aroma profile and its creamy, silky palate is magnified by a great minerality in the wine.
James Suckling : “You really see the class and botrytis character here with clarity and focus. Notes of spice, mushroom powder, subtle apricot and honey. It’s medium-bodied, fresh and bright with nice sweetness at the end. A modern and precise Sauternes”.
