Blason d’Issan
Margaux - Second Wine
Description
The Issan coat of arms is the second wine of Château Issan, a renowned Bordeaux cru since the 12th century. This 59-hectare vineyard is mainly planted on gravel soils and in the cellar, the wine-making process is carried out in stainless steel vats that are thermo-regulated in a parcel-by-parcel manner. In the mouth, the wine is round, greedy, offering a full and rich finish.
Wine Advocate : “Aromas of sweet berries, cherries, cardamom and shoe polish introduce the 2023 Blason d’Issan, followed by a medium-bodied, supple and fleshy palate and concluding with a somewhat metallic, drying finish. It’s a blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 4% Malbec.”
