Description
Located within the AOC Saint Julien, Château Branaire-Ducru’s vineyard extends some 60 hectares of vines featuring varietals which are typical to the region such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The vinification respects each individual parcel and grape varietal and is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine itself is then aged in oak barrels for 18 months (around 50% of which are composed of new oak). The tasting reveals a wine that wonderfully balances a velvety texture with a certain freshness, as well as notes of spice and cocoa along with more fruity flavours.
iDealwine Primeurs Tasting Note: Château Branaire Ducru 2022 exudes raspberry and cherry notes. It is fresh and energetic as soon as the first drop reaches your palate with fresh, almost tart red fruit flavours, which gives it a wonderful spirit that stretches right up to the calmer, fine finish.
