Terms and conditions for ‘En Primeur’ purchases

Sales of “En Primeur” wines, offered on the primeurs.idealwine.com website, are valid while stocks last and exclude delivery fees. Some rare offers may be limited to a particular quantity per client and reserved for non-professional customers. iDealwine reserves the right to cancel any orders destined for the same client and surpassing these limits.

Pursuant to Article L221-28 of the Code de la Consommation (French Consumer Code), wines sold ‘En Primeur’ do not benefit from the right of withdrawal provided for in Article L221-18 of the Consumer Code.

Ordering wine ‘En Primeurs’ requires a down payment of the total price of the wine including taxes but excluding shipping costs. Once the order has been placed and paid in full, iDealwine will send a pro forma invoice including tax. Once the wines have been made available by the estates, approximately two years later (and up to one year longer for Sauternes and Barsac wines), iDealwine will send the final invoice to the client, which includes shipping fees at the rates and tariffs used by the company on the day the wines are made available. The client must then settle any remaining costs before the wines can be dispatched by iDealwine. All of the client’s orders are grouped and sent at the same time to a single address.

Please note, should there be any discrepancy between the English version and the French version of the these Terms and Conditions, the French version is the only version with legal effect.

How the En Primeur Shopping Basket works:
Placing wine in your shopping basket does not equate to definitive reservation. The wines you choose are blocked and reserved only when your order is confirmed.
Without order validation, the wines you have placed in your basket are still available for sale on the primeurs.idealwine.com website, and may become out of stock if another client completes a purchase before you.
