Sirène de Giscours
Margaux - Second Wine
Description
This second wine of Château Giscours comes from the Margaux appellation. The estate covers 95 hectares of vines, which are planted on glacial sands and deep gravel. Following the vinification, the wine is aged in barrels, half of which are new, for an average of 12 to 15 months. On the nose, we feel black fruit aromas, the wood is beautifully melted, suggesting supple tannins, complemented by a slight salinity.
iDealwine Primeur tasting note : ““The very fruity nose (red and black fruits) also reveals woody and spiced notes. Freshness, elegance and plenty of juice characterise the palate.”
Wine Advocate : “The 2023 La Sirène de Giscours opens in the glass with aromas of wild berries, baking chocolate, spice and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate that’s suave and seamless, with good depth at the core of sweet, powdery structuring tannins. It’s a strong effort.”
