Description
This Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Estephe was founded in the eighteenth century, it is the Marquis de Segur who gave his name to the second wine. One of the symbols of the chateau is of course its label with a heart, echoing the phrase of the Marquis “I make wine in Lafite and Latour but my heart is in Calon”. This creamy and generous wine offers a unique freshness and opulence.
Vintage 2024 blend: 63% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wine Advocate: “Wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet cassis, violets and bergamot, it’s medium-bodied, round and supple, with a suave, polished style that’s nicely balanced and complete. This is a very strong effort in the making. “
