Cos d’Estournel
Saint Estephe - 2ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
In Saint-Estèphe, Cos d’Estournel owns a vineyard a little over 90 hectares where the vines, which are on average 35 years old, push their roots into the deep Graves soil which rests on a limestone bedrock. Vinification takes plack in stainless-steel, cone-shaped vats and the wine matures in oak barrels, the majority of which are new. Tasting reveals a wine with a fine balance of ripe fruit and roasted notes reminiscent of cocoa and coffee. A beautiful minerality enlivens the ensemble, which is well-suited to ageing.
Vintage 2024 blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 1.5% Cabernet Franc, 0.5% Petit Verdot.
Le Figaro Vin tasting note:A refined, exalted, straightforward and intriguing bouquet, carried by a depth of black fruits, a touch of salt and the delicate scent of peonies, as delicious as an exquisite dish placed before you. The palate seduces with its silky allure, sensual generosity, between rose petals, crisp red fruits and vibrant energy. Salinity returns on the long, savory, irresistible finish. “
