Château Potensac
Medoc
Description
This 84-hectare property sits on limestone and clay soils and some of the plots cared for using sustainable practices were planted over 80 years ago.
The grape varieties to be found on this Medoc terroir are Merlot (46%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%), with Cabernet Franc (16%), Carménère (2%) and Petit Verdot (1%). This wine is dense, structured and delicious, with aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and spices.
Vintage 2024 blend: 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc
Wine Advocate: “A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc and 33% Merlot, the 2024 Potensac exhibits notes of cherries, cassis and pencil shavings, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively palate with good density and sweetness of tannin. It will, however, require some patience.”
