Château Pavie Macquin
Saint Emilion - 1er Grand Cru Classé B

Description
This Saint-Emilion wine is created from a large amount of Merlot, a fleshy, enticing and delicious variety that is so typical of Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Starting its life on soils rich in clay and limestone, it is associated with plenty of character, juice, mineral freshness, tautness and depth. Complemented by a little Cabernet Franc, it’s a wine that’s well-suited to ageing, and to accompany refined dishes with plenty of character.
Vintage 2024 blend: 84% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note:Seductive, mineral nose, with a bouquet marked by notes of blood orange. The palate is concentrated and silky, with crisp, unctuous, elegant tannins that structure perfectly ripe fruit. The whole is beautifully balanced, energetic and vibrant. ”
Le Figaro Vin : “As soon as the nose opens, an impression of distinction, like someone entering a room with innate ease. Refined, exhilarating, with millimetric precision, it unfurls layers of concentrated flavors: blackberry, Damask plum, delicate purple flowers (iris) and black licorice. On the palate, the balance is so perfect that the wine seems suspended in weightlessness. The fruit, al dente, shines with crystalline freshness. The long finish unfolds slowly, peacefully.”
