Château Olivier white
Pessac Leognan White - Graves Cru Classé
Description
One of the six properties in Pessac-Léognan to enjoy the title of Grand Cru Classé for both its reds and whites, Château Olivier devotes eight of its 60 hectares to the production of white wines. Nearly three quarters of the blend is made up of Sauvignon Blanc, while Sémillon adds tropical touches and a fine touch of Muscadelle imparts delicate floral notes. A great white wine from Pessac-Léognan that can be appreciated both while young and after a long period in the cellar.
iDealwine Primeur tasting note : “Aromas of white fruit, white flowers and a touch of minerality rise from the glass. On the palate, the light, fluid texture reveals great tension and beautiful bitters, culminating in a mineral finish.”
James Suckling : “Very fresh and focused with beautiful, bright fruit, as well as a fresh, floral perfume and a mineral undertone. It’s medium-bodied with super-tense acidity that adds verticality and length. Polished and textural on the mid-palate with a lingering finish.”
