Château Montrose
Saint Estephe - 2ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
Château Montrose is a second grand cru classé from Saint-Estèphe, on Bordeaux’s Left Bank. The estate, which has around a hundred hectares of vines, is planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. After two centuries of history, the Bouygues family undertook a series of renovations from 2006, to modernise the winemaking facilities used to produce the château’s exceptional wines.
The 2024 Blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note:“The wine revels aromas of violets, iris, cocoa and chocolate. We especially like the notes of plum, cherry and blackberry. On the palate, the initial drop is subtle with silky tannins. Château Montrose stands out with its amazing concentration and superb structure. The wine’s beautifully balance and possesses a long, complex finish. ”
Le Figaro Vin tasting note: Majestic, opulent, the nose impresses with the striking purity of its fruit, flowers and earthy notes. This purity continues on the palate, immaculate, sublime, like divine light shining through a cathedral. The whole is very fine, superbly defined, dazzlingly long and irresistibly delicious. “
