Château Larrivet Haut-Brion White
Pessac Leognan
Description
This reputed Pessac-Léognan property belongs to the Gervoson family (owners of the Andros group) and includes a vineyard of 75 hectares, situated above Léognan. The château’s white wine is vinified using 50% new barrels, 20% cement eggs and 30% small wooden vats and it is aged for 10 to 11 months. The white wine is particularly aromatic with tropical notes and a beautiful freshness.
iDealwine Primeur tasting note : “Aromas of white fruit and peach mingle with floral and mineral notes on the nose. The palate is lively with a fluid body, bitters and sapidity.”
Wine Advocate : “A blend of 95% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Sémillon, matured in 25% new 500-liter barrels and 75% new standard barrels, the 2023 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc evokes aromas of confit citrus, white peach, verbena and spring flowers, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and round palate that’s perfectly balanced with racy acids and a long, mouthwatering finish. As usual, this is an excellent result.”
