Château Larrivet Haut-Brion White
Pessac Leognan

Description
This reputed Pessac-Léognan property belongs to the Gervoson family (owners of the Andros group) and includes a vineyard of 75 hectares, situated above Léognan. The château’s white wine is vinified using 50% new barrels, 20% cement eggs and 30% small wooden vats and it is aged for 10 to 11 months. The white wine is particularly aromatic with tropical notes and a beautiful freshness.
Vintage 2024 blend: 84% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Semillon.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note:A splendid wine to open blind and lose your guests in the regions of France… perhaps they’ll venture to the Loire because of the smoky, flinty, mineral nose? The aromas are much less exuberant than those of some Sauvignons, and the wine has a few notes of reduction and tension. The team’s collective favorite. ”
Wine Advocate: “Unfurling in the glass with a gently reductive bouquet of smoke, white flowers, citrus and oak, the 2024 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is medium-bodied, supple and juicy with a sappy attack and a long, elegant finish despite some clove notes in the aftertaste.”
