Château Lagrange
Saint Julien - 3ème Grand Cru Classé
Description
In the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Lagrange has a beautiful heritage of vines that extends over nearly 120 hectares. These are carefully cultivated and enhanced by a parcel-based vinification which is characterized in particular by an ageing period of about 20 months in oak barrels with a proportion of new wood of 60%. Made for ageing, the wine is dense, generous, full-bodied, deep, rich and generous in aroma.
iDealwine Primeur tasting note : “Aromas of wood, chocolate and black fruit rise from the glass. There are tannins abound on the palate, but it offers a lovely creaminess and length.”
Wine Advocate : “A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot, the 2023 Lagrange offers up aromas of dark berries, plums and cherries mingled with hints of pencil shavings and violets. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, with good depth, supple tannins and a suave, vibrant profile, it’s attractively seamless and complete.”
