Château Grand-Puy Ducasse
Pauillac - 5ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
A historic estate in the Bordeaux region, Château Grand-Puy Ducasse has a history that dates back to the 17th century. This Pauillac chateau was classified as a fifth growth in 1855. Today, this 40-hectare property belongs to the CA Grands Crus group, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole, and Anne Le Naour manages the estate. Over the last ten years, progress has been constant and the wines have risen to a high level. The wine is aged in barrels for 12 to 16 months, with about one third new barrels. These wines generally offer a lot of substance, sometimes with notes of cocoa.
Vintage 2024 blend: 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
iDealwine En Primeur Tasting Note: A pleasant nose of red fruit mixed with hints of cocoa. On the palate, the attack is frank, with well-integrated tannins and superb silkiness. The finish develops vanilla flavors. ”
Wine Advocate: “ Offering up discreet aromas of red berry fruit and new oak, the 2024 Grand-Puy-Ducasse is medium-bodied, firm and compact.”
