Château Calon Segur
Saint Estephe - 3ème Grand Cru Classé

Description
On about fifty hectares located within the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Calon-Ségur has vines that rest on a gravel and clay soil. The manual harvest is vinified in stainless steel vats, on a parcel-by-parcel basis. The wine is aged between 18 and 20 months in barrels. Tasting reveals a wine that is both dense and full of energy. Its silky texture nevertheless reveals excellent ageing potential.
Vintage 2024 blend: 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot
Wine Advocate: “The 2024 Calon-Ségur is a terrific effort. A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon (picked late, between October 2 and October 9), 9% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, it unwinds in the glass with notes of plums, cassis and iris mingled with hints of burning embers and incense. Medium to full-bodied, supple and layered, it’s suave and seamless, with good depth at the core, powdery tannins and beautifully integrated acids. ”
