Chapelle d’Ausone
Saint Emilion - Second Wine

Description
– Produced with the same care as its predecessor, it blends a majority of Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, hand-harvested and vinified in temperature-controlled wooden vats. The wine is aged for around twenty months in new oak barrels, giving it a deep, dense, rich and elegant character beyond compare. A great wine for laying down.
Vintage 2024 blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Advocate : “Due to poor flowering in the estate’s Merlot holdings, the 2024 Chapelle d’Ausone is all-Cabernet this year. Offering up notes of sweet dark berries, mint, rose petals and spices, it’s nicely integrated, with a medium-bodied, supple palate underpinned by a tangy spine of acidity. ”
