Roc de Cambes

Description
Bought in 1988 by François Mitjavile, who already owned Tertre Roteboeuf, this
property quickly rose through the ranks to become the leading estate in the Côte
de Bourg appellation, even rivalling some Saint-Émilion wineries. Situated on the
banks of the Gironde river, the gentle-sloping vineyard enjoys the ideal
microclimate in which the river regulates the temperature in winter, protecting the
vines from frost. The perfect environment for vines and wine enthusiasts alike.
Vintage 2024 blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Vinous: “The 2024 Roc de Cambes is quite opulent on the nose with black plum and blueberry fruit. In this vintage, I actually discern more nuance and complexity on the Domaine des Cambes. The palate is medium-bodied with a little more heft, though it retains admirable balance and purity. The tongue tingles with white pepper and red peppercorns on the aftertaste. Quite delicious again.”
